The Minister of Music and Family at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church plays a vital role in leading worship, nurturing spiritual growth through music, and coordinating musical activities across the church. 

Minister of Music Responsibilities

  1. Worship Leadership & Planning
  • Lead and organize all aspects of the church’s music ministry to enhance worship and spiritual growth.
  • Direct congregational singing, choirs (adult, youth, children), and instrumental groups.
  • Select and arrange music that aligns with theological and worship themes

 

  • 2.Program Development
  • Develop and oversee music programs for all age groups, including the following choirs: Youth, Men, Inspirational, Praise and Worship
  • Pastoral Support
  • Provide music for weddings, funerals, and memorial services

  • Nurture spiritual and musical growth

The Youth Choir at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church purpose and mission is to glorify God through music and worship.  To support the church’s mission by helping to win souls to Christ through traditional and contemporary gospel music.

To nurture spiritual and musical growth among youth through engagement with scripture and worship.  Membership typically includes youth ages 5 to 17.

The Male Choir at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church purpose and mission is to glorify God through music and worship. To attend rehearsals regularly and punctually.  Learn and perform music with excellence and reverence.  Support the worship service through song and spiritual presence.

The Inspirational Choir at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church purpose and mission is to glorify God through music and worship.

  • Worship Leadership: Lead the congregation in praise through heartfelt and spirit-led singing.
  • Commitment: Attend rehearsals and services regularly, prepared to sing and minister.
  • Unity & Encouragement: Support fellow choir members and foster a spirit of harmony and encouragement.
